Metafora Konseptual Perempuan dalam Lirik Lagu Christina Aguilera dan Little Mix

Abstract


This research purposes to analyze the conceptual metaphor of women in song lyrics by Christina Aguilera and Little Mix. This research was conducted at the library of the University of Riau, Pekanbaru, Riau. Using qualitative research because the data is in the form of words and using descriptive qualitative which focuses on describing the conceptual metaphors about women in song lyrics. The researcher used the Metaphor Identification Procedure (MIP) to identify the metaphorical conceptualization of women in song lyrics with the stages of re-reading all data, reducing unnecessary data, marking metaphors, interpreting data, and making conclusions. The results of the research showed 10 conceptual metaphors about women have been found, such as; women are fighters, women are victims, women are songs, women are flowers, women are stars, women are witches, women are thieves, women are butterflies, women are survivors, and women are mirrors. Women are survivors is the conceptual metaphor about women whose metaphorical expression is most often found in the song lyrics 13 times which illustrates that women are very great who are able to survive in any situation.

 

Abstrak

Penilitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis metafora konseptual perempuan yang digambarkan dalam lirik lirik lagu Christina Aguilera dan Little Mix. Penelitian ini dilakukan di perpustakaan Universitas Riau, Pekanbaru, Riau. Menggunakan penelitian kualitatif karena data dalam bentuk kata dan menggunakan kualitatif deskriptif yang fokus untuk mendeskripsikan konseptual metafora tentang perempuan di dalam lirik lagu. Peneliti menggunakan Prosedur Identifikasi Metafora atau Metaphor Identification Procedurre (MIP) untuk mengidentifikasi metafora konseptual terhadap perempuan di lirik lagu dengan tahapan membaca kembali semua data, mengurangi data yang tidak perlu, menandai metafora, menginterpretasikan data, dan membuat kesimpulan. Dari penelitian ini, telah ditemukan 9 konseptual metafora tentang perempuan, yaitu; perempuan adalah pejuang, perempuan adalah korban, perempuan adalah lagu, perempuan adalah bunga, perempuan adalah bintang, perempuan adalah penyihir, perempuan adalah pencuri, perempuan adalah kupu kupu, dan perempuan adalah orang penyintas. Perempuan adalah penyintas merupakan konseptual metafora tentang perempuan yang metafora ekspresinya paling banyak ditemukan di dalam lirik lagu sebanyak 13 kali yang menggambarkan bahwa perempuan itu sangat hebat yang mampu bertahan hidup dalam situasi apapun.
