Nilai-Nilai Pendidikan Karakter dan Implementasinya dalam Cerita Rakyat Batu Goloq

Abstract


This article discusses the educational values contained in the Lombok folktale entitled Batu Goloq. This study uses a qualitative research approach with a narrative method to explore educational values. The main data sources are Batu Goloq folklore books and other related literature. Data collection techniques involved reading, listening, and recording, and data analysis was done descriptively. The study's findings discussed a variety of educational ideals, including the importance of empathy and social awareness, the value of accountability and sacrifice, the importance of believing and the efficacy of prayer, and the importance of self-reflection. Furthermore, these values can be applied in character education through a variety of methods, such as curriculum alignment for Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) to improve students' social and emotional skills, the use of inspirational stories to reinforce understanding, and a multicultural approach to recognize value diversity. The goal of all these tactics is to create people who interact with society in a responsible, compassionate, and empathic manner.

 

Abstrak

Artikel ini membahas nilai-nilai pendidikan yang terdapat dalam cerita rakyat Lombok berjudul Batu Goloq. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode naratif untuk mengeksplorasi nilai-nilai pendidikan. Sumber data utamanya adalah buku cerita rakyat Batu Goloq dan literatur terkait lainnya. Teknik pengumpulan data melibatkan pembacaan, menyimak, dan pencatatan, analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian memaparkan berbagai bentuk nilai-nilai pendidikan, seperti nilai kesadaran sosial dan empati, nilai tanggung jawab dan pengorbanan, nilai kepercayaan dan kekuatan doa, dan nilai tentang refleksi diri. Selanjutnya implementasi dalam pendidikan karakter dapat menerapkan nilai-nilai ini melalui berbagai pendekatan: menggunakan cerita inspiratif untuk memperkuat pemahaman, mengadopsi pendekatan multikultural untuk menghargai keragaman nilai, dan menyelaraskan Pembelajaran Sosial dan Emosional (SEL) dalam kurikulum untuk mengembangkan keterampilan sosial dan emosional siswa. Semua strategi ini bertujuan membentuk individu yang bertanggung jawab, peduli, dan berempati dalam interaksi mereka dengan masyarakat.
