Dinamika Kekuasaan dalam Debat Presiden: Analisis Wacana Kritis pada Debat Biden-Trump di Case Western Reserve

Penelitian ini mengkaji dinamika kekuasaan dalam debat presiden antara Joe Biden dan Donald Trump yang berlangsung di Case Western Reserve University dengan menggunakan pendekatan Analisis Wacana Kritis (AWK). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi penggunaan bahasa untuk membangun dan mempertahankan kekuasaan, serta bagaimana strategi retorika masing-masing kandidat mempengaruhi wacana publik dan mencerminkan ideologi politik mereka. Metode yang digunakan melibatkan analisis tematik terhadap transkrip debat untuk mengeksplorasi penggunaan bahasa, interupsi, dan pola diskursif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Trump menggunakan strategi agresif dan serangan langsung untuk mendominasi diskusi, sementara Biden menerapkan bahasa inklusif dan empatik untuk membangun citra positif. Temuan ini juga mengungkapkan bahwa debat berfungsi sebagai platform untuk memperkuat ideologi politik masing-masing kandidat. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan tentang bagaimana bahasa dalam debat politik dapat mempengaruhi opini publik dan dinamika kekuasaan.
