ANALISIS SISTEM APPRAISAL PADA PEMBERITAAN KONFLIK ISRAEL-PALESTINA DI MEDIA KOMPAS.COM DAN CNN INDONESIA (Appraisal System Analysis on News of The Israel-Palestine Conflict on Kompas.com and CNN Indonesia Media)
Abstract
This research aims to analyze the ecological discourse presented in the news on two Indonesian online mass media, namely kompas.com and CNN Indonesia. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method focusing discussion on the study of ecological discourse analysis (EDA). This research uses Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL) and an ecolinguistic appraisal system as the basis for theoretical design. Data collection techniques were carried out through listening and note-taking techniques. Based on the results that have been analyzed, two different types of attitudes and assessments towards ecosophy were found, namely beneficial/constructive attitudes and detrimental/destructive attitudes. The research results state that the first form of attitude appraisal found in reporting on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in the online media Kompas TV and CNN Indonesia consists of affect, assessment (Judgement) and appreciation. Second, the form of positioning appraisal found in reporting on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in the online media Kompas TV and CNN Indonesia consists of heteroglossics. Third, the form of graduation appraisal found in reporting on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in the online media Kompas TV and CNN Indonesia consists of increasing and decreasing graduation sub-elements. This research is very important to carry out as an effort to maintain world peace.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis wacana ekologis yang disajikan dalam pemberitaan pada dua media massa online Indonesia, yaitu kompas.com dan CNN Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif memfokuskan pembahasan pada kajian analisis wacana ekologi (AWE). Penelitian ini menggunakan Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL) dan sistem appraisal ekolinguistik sebagai landasan perancangan teori. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui teknik simak dan catat. Berdasarkan hasil yang telah dianalisis, ditemukan dua jenis sikap dan penilaian yang berbeda terhadap ekosofi, yaitu sikap yang menguntungkan/konstruktif dan sikap yang merugikan/destruktif. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa yang pertama bentuk appraisal sikap yang terdapat pada pemberitaan konflik Israel-Palestina dalam media daring Kompas TV dan CNN Indonesia terdiri dari affect, penilaian (Judgement) dan apresiasi. Kedua, bentuk appraisal pemosisian yang terdapat pada pemberitaan konflik Israel-Palestina dalam media daring Kompas TV dan CNN Indonesia terdiri dari heteroglosik. Ketiga, bentuk appraisal graduasi yang terdapat pada pemberitaan konflik Israel-Palestina dalam media daring Kompas TV dan CNN Indonesia terdiri dari sub-elemen graduasi menaikkan dan menurunkan. Penelitian ini sangat penting untuk dilakukan sebagai upaya menjaga perdamaian dunia.
