The scope of this journal encompasses enhancement of BIPA teaching methods, BIPA (Indonesian as a Foreign Language/IFL) learning outcomes, development of BIPA (IFL) teaching materials, curriculum of BIPA (IFL), and studies on Indonesian language internationalization policies.

Peer Review Process

Jurnal Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (JBIPA) is a double-blind peer-reviewed Journal. This means that both the reviewer and author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa, throughout the review process. Submitted papers are evaluated by anonymous referees for contribution, originality, and relevance. Reviewer selection is critical to the publication process, and we base our choice on many factors,including expertise, reputation, specific recommendations and our own previous experience of a reviewer's characteristics. We check with potential reviewers before sending them manuscripts to review. Reviewers reserves the right to reject the script if the script review didn't match to the fields/expertise. Reviewers should bear in mind that all correspondences in this journal contain confidential information, which should be treated as such.

In general, we need two month to inform you about the results. Totally, peer review process estimated time consuming up to four months.

 

Publication Frequency

Open Access Policy

Jurnal Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (JBIPA) is an open access journal under licence CC-BY-NC. In other words, this journal provides immediate open access to every article on the principle that making research freely accessible to the public; It supports a greater global exchange of knowledge; and an invaluable way to boost the visibility and impact of research. The journal it's free availability on the public Internet, permitting any users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than that inseparable from gaining access to the Internet itself.
The only constraint on reproduction and distribution, and the only role for copyright in this domain, should be (1) to give authors control over the integrity of their work; (2) the right tobe properly acknowledged and cited, and; (3) not use the materials and contents publication for commercial purposes.

 

Archiving

 

To ensure the continuity of data article that has been published to be accessible to everyone, the editor took the policy of every issue of Jurnal Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (JBIPA) for doing digital archiving at the National Library of Republic of Indonesia. The manuscript has been published each issue delivered to the national library as much as two copies and OAI.

Each Member of the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia (Perpusnas RI) and has had a number of legitimate members, has the right to make use of our online digital collection write-up (e-Resources).

Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement

Author(s) duties

Authors should present anobjectivediscussion of the significance of their research workas well assufficient detail and references to permit others to replicate the work. Authors also must ensure that their work is entirely original, and therefore wherever and whenever the work and/or words of othersare used, all instances mustbe appropriately acknowledged. Submitting the same manuscript tomore thanone journal concurrentlyconstitutesunethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable. Authors should not submit articles describing essentially the same research tomore thanone journal. The corresponding author should ensure that there is a full consensus of all co-authors in approving the final version of the paper and its submission for publication. The author(s) should inquire with the original copyright holder (usually the original publisher or authors),whether or notthis material canbe re-used.

Plagiarism, fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior are unacceptable.

 

Editor(s) duties

Editors evaluate manuscripts exclusively on the basis of their academic merit. Editor not use unpublished information in the editor's own research without the express written consent of the author. Whenever ethical complaintsare filedconcerning a submitted manuscript or published paper, editors must take reasonable action to ensure that proper complianceto ethical standards is restored. Submitted information and ideas mustbe keptconfidential and cannotbe usedfor personal advantage or gain. Editors should pass the final acceptance only after discussion with the other managing andco-editors and reviewers based on the compliance, originality and quality of the article. It is the duty of editors to correct the articles if demand comes from authors. If needed,other appropriate action should be takenat the time of processing of the article. Editor should address and take sufficient steps about ethical complaints to the published data and/or methodologies. Further communications shouldbe madeto the corresponding authors.

Editor should evaluate the manuscripts initially without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, citizenship etc.

Reviewer(s) duties

All manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. Privileged information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal advantage. Any appointed reviewer who feels unqualified to review the research reported in a manuscript, oris otherwise awarethat a prompt review will be impossible, should notify the editor and step down from the review process. Reviewers should not consider manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships or connections with any of the authors, companies, or institutions connected to the papers.

Reviews shouldbe conducted objectively, and observations should be formulated clearly with supporting arguments so that authors can use them for improving the paper.

4. it reports unethical research, and;
